Yoga Teacher App will help you get better at achieving perfect alignment of your yoga postures.
Here is how it works:
In each challenge, you will observe a yoga student that is trying to master a new posture. Their alignment will be good, but not perfect because they have not achieved perfect alignment of one of their joints.
Your task is to find the joint that is the root of the alignment problem. Then, you can adjust it to help your student perfect their posture.
You have 3 attempts per psoture to find the root of the aignment problem and correct it. You will receive points for corrections, and the App will help you to track your scores and practice over time.
Looking Around
Controlling the camera is pretty simple. Any time you touch, the screen and drag your finger, the viewpoint will rotate around on screen.
Selecting a Joint
After you have examined your student’s posture, you can select a joint which you wish to manipulate. It is important to study the posture carefully so that you select the joint which appears to be the root of the alignment problem. Otherwise, you will merely be compensating for the problem and not achieving perfect alignment.
To perform selection on a joint, you press the joint select button at the top right corner of the screen. This will expose the 2D joint selection view. Tapping on a joint will select it and return you to the 3D view.
Sliding Joints
Some joints have a slide controller which appears with two arrows on either end of the controller. By tapping on one of the arrows and dragging your finger, you can slide the joint back and forth.
Rotating Joints
Some joints have a rotate controller which appears with a single rotating arrow near the joint which it controls. By tapping on the arrow and dragging your finger, you can rotate the joint open and closed.
Scoring
Once you have completed your adjustment, you can check to see if you achieved alignment of your studen’ts posture by pressing the ‘Check Posture’ button at the bottom left of the screen.
If you did not correctly adjust the posture, an attempt will be charged to you. In total, you have 3 attempts to achieve perfect alignment.
Once the posture has been correctly aligned, the App will reward you and assign you points depending on how many tries it took.
The app also keeps track of your scores over time so that you can review your progress. This feature is found in the main menu.
